Shipping took some time, but I won't complain with free shipping plus no tax. Installed the base by myself. Is this what Amazon's white glove would do for me? No thank, I can do it myself. I found 1 stuck pixel; other than that TV looks great.
With only 1 stuck pixel, can you even see it from your normal viewing distance? (With Normal Program material: solid colored slides tend to show off any slight imperfection!)
We had a couple of ST30s that arrived with stuck pixels last year - on one unit I literally never saw the glitch outside of a break-in slide, but the second had a pixel that was stuck on BRIGHT RED - and WAS visible from our 9ft viewing distance any time a light background came up. Fortunately, it managed to UNstick itself during our New Panel Aging Routine: hopefully the one on your panel will do the same.
"White Glove" seems to vary from delivery to delivery, but the CEVA crew that delivered 2 60" ST30s for us was very good.
Probably would not have been Happy had we "paid" $100 for the service, but would certainly assign some value to it: Not everyone wants to be manhandling a Fragile, Unwieldy 60" HDTV either UP or DOWN a flight of stairs, then unpacking it and mounting it on the stand. Certainly not solo.
WHO Drops the TV makes a big difference should someone happen to slip...
Add in checking for included peripherals, screen breakage - and even powering the set up (unless outside temperatures are cold) - and there is a Peace of Mind factor involved.
Imagine your 70yo mother / grandmother attempting this on her own!
Then, of course, also consider Amazon's 30-day Return Policy as part of the bargain - and the same CEVA crew that delivered the first panel also Picked It Up when they delivered its replacement, nearly 2 months after the first delivery, thanks to Amazon's Extended Holiday Return period!
We ended up handling 3 60" panels ourselves last year, and I was very glad that there was help about! (Plus a couple of 50", but those are a piece of cake with 2 people....)
Congrats on your new set - we are certainly enjoying ours (also a 60" ST50, just over 2 months old).
Would take care to avoid Obvious IR Situations for the first several hundred hours (350 - 400 is the point where ours seems to have settled in).
