Sears is selling this excellent Panny 50" Plasma for $759.99, shipped or free store pickup.

You can also call Amazon for price matching. Some Amazon customer representatives may ask you to pay some extra for white glove delivery, some don't. If you are unlucky the first time, call again and talk to somebody else
I just had to call the 2nd time and got one. smile.gif

Was going to get one for a bedroom TV, but they would not give the free shipping. Don't feel like calling to play price match roulette, so I just passed for now.

Check paulstv.com. 65xt50 deals today. Dont know if they are on sale for fathers day but you can save a bit by amazon price matching if you want. Amazon looks like they marked up some prices today.

I just went to Sears online and the price is 799 FYI. Still a great deal. Definitely going to buy one.

It looks like they increased the price. The price just dropped to $799.99 on Amazon.com, for those who want to buy from Amazon. No need to call for price match.

The 50UT50 and 55UT50 are both on sale at Sears all this week, its in this week's Sears ad flyer.
Also if you use a Sears credit card for the purchase you can get an additional 10% off if purchased in a local Sears store.
That would give sale prices this week at Sears down to:
50UT50 = $720 55UT50=$900 (with Sears card in store)
Even with California sales tax and a $10 environmental fee, the total is close or beats amazon.
A very good deal thats $500 off the MSRP for the 55" UT50!
Wish they had such a big discount on the ST50's - the 50ST50 at Sears right now is only discounted $200 or so.

Looks like Amazon just dropped their price on the 55UT50 to $999.99 and 50UT50 to $799.99 to match Sear's sale prices this week.

Those are outstanding prices on an outstanding TV, especially if the ST is just a bit beyond your budget. I got that same $799 price at Fry's and could not be more pleased. So if you're considering the UT, this is a good time to buy.

the 50UT50 is $759, again, at Sears right now. For me, with sales tax (6% in MI), it ends up about the same as the $799 currently at Amazon. However, you can get an additional 4% rebate through fatwallet, by signing up for their cash back program and clicking through the Sears link on their site. I'm not affiliated with fatwallet, but have used the site for several years and it's definitely legitimate. It can take 60-90 days for the rebate cash to become available, but when it does, you simply request a payout through Paypal and you get the money.

I just bought the UT50 online for local pickup and received my cashback notification email in about 30 minutes. So, the deal for me is: $759 + 45 (tax) - 30 (cashback) = $774 total. About 10 days ago I bought the U54 at Sam's Club for $686 out the door, but it's now going back. Less than $100 for the upgrade to the UT50. I don't think this deal can be beat on this TV.

Oh, and like mentioned above, it looks like you can get an additional 10% using a Sears card. I don't have a Sears card, but for those that do, this is unbeatable.

Just apply for one at checkout. That's what I did. Pay it off in 30 days and cancel the card.

@MCK>>>Not bad @ all, I will be considering this option too, but only once the 55UT50 comes down to this price. I'm pretty confident it will by the end of summer, or maybe even by the 4th of July weekend.

B4 my 50U54, I had previously owned a Sammy LED-UN55D7000, and I really miss the extra real estate.

Also, I'm amazed @ how much better, IMO, the U54/UT50's look than the hi-end LEDs over @ Samsung. My wife thinks I'm crazy. She liked the pop of the LEDs, but I just love how much better the black level (.mll) is on these panny pdps.

Just got the P50UT50 this past Friday on a whim at Best Buy. mad.gif

Got it for $950....I'll have to keep my eye out for the Sears and Amazon deals in the coming week since BB will do the price match I believe for 30 days.

If there is one at your local Costco store, you can have it for $649.99 plus tax.

That is the U50, which is the lowest end of this year's Panny plasma's. The UT50 is the next step up, and for a comparable price, is worth getting.

If you put the UT50 on Vivid Mode, it has a good deal of pop similar to LED/LCD. But just tweak down contrast and brightness a bit.

The 50UT50 has been sold at Fry's, Sears, and Amazon for $799, so I would try to get them to match that price, or threaten to return it. Or at least throw in a Bluray or soundbar or something.

Ok thanks I'll have to go to the store and see if I can get someone to help me out.

The problem was I wasn't even looking at the UT or even ST series since I had my heart set on a GT and wasn't even considering anything else but then I decided I didn't want to spend more than $1500 so I bought the UT50 on an impulse .....something I never do.
