TigerDirect is having PN64E7000 for $2098 + free shipping with coupon code CBV70228. It shows $2698 on the product page. You need to apply the coupon after you add it to the shopping cart and proceed to "Secure Checkout". "Enter a Coupon Code" should appear in Section 4 of the "Billing and Shipping" page, I tried it and got $2097.99 shown after applying the coupon. The first near $2000 deal I have seen since the debut of 64E7000.
Great deal, I just can't bring myself to buy from TD though. Thanks, hopefully this is an omen of new pricing about to be revealed.
I am too hoping this is a signal that the price of the E7000 is finally coming down. I have been eying on the ST50. But now I am debating between these two. When the E7000 was $600 more ($2600 for 65E7000 vs $2000 for 65ST50), the ST50 seemed to be a no-brainer. But now with the only abut $100 difference, this now is a close call.
As to TD, I have been purchasing stuff from them without any issues, though I've never bought such a big item from them. In the ST50 deal thread, someone bought a 65ST50 from them with satisfactory experience, though it seems most people prefer Amazon for its good return policy and default white glove delivery.
I'm just worried about getting a TV from them if there's a problem and I need to return. I'm more familiar with Amazon's process.
I think for change-of-mind returns, Amazon's no question return for the large TV is probably the best policy you could find. But for returns for defective items, all reputed on-line retailers are similar, i.e., they would pay the shipping for return if it happens within the return window. Of course, one would double check TD's return policy for big TVs before pulling the trigger.
