Just ordered the 60" from ABT, I could not get the EPP working when I tried to checkout. ABT was $1497 and no Tax, also 2% cash back from Fatwallet if you join up there and then search ABT. Panasonic was going to charge tax in MD as well, so ABT was about $60 cheaper all together.

You should sign up for the ABT newsletter, then go into their site chat and tell then you forgot to apply the newsletter promo. That will take 5% off the total, knocking it down to around $1424. This worked for me and at least one other member.

Glad it worked. Seems easier than trying to haggle for a PM, not to mention it saved me more than the PM did. User Stump909 pointed it out to me, so credit goes to him or her.

Wow, thanks for this. I totally missed the 5% off thing when I ordered mine on the 10th. Contacted support and they're applying the 5% to it for me. $74.90 off, brings it down to $1423.09 on my invoice. That helps me a ton, been saving up since last June for a new TV heh (I'm on a pretty fixed income).

Glad I checked this thread!

It's probably too late for me as I've already been charged, but how do you use Fatwallet to get the discount?

Create an account with fatwallet, then search ABT Electonics while your logged in. I have gotten as much as 5 or 6% on some stuff through them. It's a good site when your looking for deals on just about anything.

Does it monitor your purchase through the site or do you have to submit something? Do you know if it is possible to use it retroactively?

I think the site keeps track of your 'clicks' when you go to an external link, some how it keeps track of it and you can add notes to your account to track your purchases. I doubt the retroactive thing would happen.

I love ABT! Bought my 2011 Samsung tv with them and not only did they give me a great price when I had an issue with the set they swapped it out immediately. In the hunt for the 60st60 I phoned them this morning and just mentioned that I saw someone on this forum got it $1,424 and boom! Done deal. They said it should be in stock this week.... FWIW

You guys think the 65 Inch ST60 is worth the additional cost. Can't get my self to decide. I want the 65 but don't want to spend the extra $
65 = $2199 vs 60 = $1424 ( $775 difference). Almost contemplating getting Samsung 64E7000 instead at $1800 to save some dough but still get a larger tv.... arggggh to many choice sucks!confused.gif

I'm having the same dilemma. I'm going to hold off for another 2 or 3 weeks to see if the price on the 65" ST60 drops. If it doesn't hit $2000 (or less) by then, I'm going with the 60". The 60" at a little over $1400 is a ridiculously good deal. Just hoping for as good of a deal on the 65", when they are fully stocked at all the retailers.

Another thing I realized is that retailers still have some 65ST50's. For example Amazon currently selling ST50 at $2,239.00. How can they lower the price on the new ST60 below the old model without lowering the ST50 price or removing them from stock ?
So you may be right as ST50 phase out and other retailers get the 65ST60 the prices may come down. Crossing Fingers, get me in under 2K and I am in!

I just got done ordering through Abt, and man they have great customer service. I contacted chat after signing up for the newsletter to get the 5% discount because the newsletter discount excludes tvs. So I asked if they could give me the discount because I'd read here that some were able to. He informed me he could, but it would have to be done over the phone. I was trying to purchase through the Discover card website because they offer 5% cash back from Abt. So I told him if I did it over the phone, I couldn't get the 5% cash back from Discover, and asked if there was any other option to get both the 5% newsletter, and still get the 5% cash back from my discover card. He said he could give me the tv with 8% off over the phone to make up for the Discover cash back. He called right away, and within a couple minutes I had my order placed for $1,377 for the TC-P60ST60. He said they've been getting a trickle of them in, and it should be a week or so before mine ships. Can't wait!

Great price! It is crazy what this TV is selling for. Why would anyone buy an LED over this? I can understand if 60" LED's with smart and 3d features were half the price but they are way, way more. It just boggles my mind. If people would wake up then Panasonic should be able to sell more of the ST60's then all other LED TVs combined. Then maybe they would continue making them!

I, too, just got the 60" from ABT.com. I called them up to check on the pre-order situation and he said the handful of orders they currently have will be filled by the end of the month if Panasonic is on time with deliveries. I was also able to get a 5% military discount by ordering over the phone. Total was $1423.09.

I have confirmation that my set is in route from ABT. I wish the shipping company had a more precise day but they say 3-5.

I too was able to get the $1423.09 deal from ABT, but on my second attempt. The first guy said he could only do $50 off, so I just said thank you anway, hung up and tried again, and the second guy I got did it for me no problem.

Was this an email confirmation? I ordered on 4/3 and have been anxiously awaiting some word. I'm hoping to have the slides done by the May 1st deadline set by my wife.

Did you guys do standard free shipping or White glove? I bought my 65ST60 from ABT and concerned, never bought an item that big and fragile online before. Supposedly coming freight to my door.
Wonder if they call to schedule delivery ? Shipping Company: CGLI
Can Plasmas be turned sideways or is that a still a no no ?

I have had TVs shipped to me, none from ABT though. The shipping company called when they had received the item at the local facility to schedule an appt for delivery. They usually give a 4 hour window on the day scheduled.

From what I have heard, plasma's should still ship standing up and not on it's side.
