Wow! How did you discovery that? Never occurred to ever look at the version info on the sets for hours used.

If sellers do FIFO it would be interesting to know how much stock they have. Here's mine, if you bought ONLINE care to share yours if you've bought one?

Bought: Nov 28
From: Amazon
Model: 65" ST60
Manufacturing Date: August 2013

From above, for 65", they still have to fill SEP OCT NOV worth of production stock at Amazon. It's not scientific, but I thought I'd ask. May be applicable to warehouse online purchases only not the local retail store inventory.

Much thanks! I wonder what the other lines mean, or if they are even relevant to the consumer.

Seems clear to me that the 60" ST60 has the highest demand of all the Panasonic plasmas because nobody has it discounted. It's almost like there is a price-fix cabal on that particular model. Some have knocked $1,000 off the VT and ZT models but other than Panasonic's msrp reduction months back nothing has broken on the 60ST60. Bummer! I've seen breaks on the 65" and 55" but the 60" still sells everywhere for $1,499!

"The truth is out there!"

Unless of course you count the Fry's blowout price (which wasn't really legit if you ask me) but several members were able to PM.

For those who got Amzn to match Frys: Will they still honor the 2% rewards on top of the PM?

I got Amazon to PM to the 997 Frys price. I dont know about the 2%. I didnt even worry about it and was happy to get the PM.

Where do check that?

I think the 2% is only for  TVs > $1,000.   That may be why Amazon was listing the 50" st60 at a 2% discount of $978 instead of $998 . . . since it was the only ST60 that didn't qualify for the 2% back.

Looks like Panasonic.com is out of the 50" and the 60".   I'm not seeing much if any inventory in the Charlotte, NC area for any of these TVs.

That's what I figure (and is fair enough, I'll take the savings over a credit) but I did receive an email from them about a promo credit that was applied but never actually appeared. I'll assume the notification was an error on their part.

Got a possible fish on the line for your 60ST60, do ya? Very magnanimous of you to throw open the possibility of him turning elsewhere. biggrin.gif

Really, I think we would need to know more about your friends situation. How bright the room and how typical watching in a darkened room? Is he the type to insist on getting his panel calibrated or is he not very very particular when it comes to absolute picture quality and wringing the last bit of accuracy from the panel? etc. If brighter room viewing is commonplace and he is not super anal about picture accuracy, go ST, otherwise, VT.

Mourning the disappearing usage of the -ly suffix. Words being cut-off before they've had a chance to fully form, left incomplete, with their shoelaces untied and their zippers undone. If I quote your post (or post in your thread) without comment, please check your zipper.

Fish ( you mean Buddy ) on the Line, LoL.......already sold 2 of the 4 60ST's, I bought from BB, My buddy was leaning towards the VT, but I told him I'll sell you the last one for what I bought it for, so yes I put him in this conundrum.......Sometimes his Heart wants more than his Wallet can afford
Moderately lit room, and only calibrating action would be same as me, through a calibration dvd

I just found a P50ST60 at sears.com for 949,00. Even though the advertised price shows 999,00, in the cart it was dropped to 949 for some reason :)

ST. I just received my 65ST60 yesterday and it sits in a bright den w/ curtains and shades on the facing bank of 3 windows. It took the place of a 60GT50 which did exceptionally well compared to other 2012 tvs, including the VT60 (dimmer image due to filter). I chose the ST over the VT for the same reason that I chose the GT last year. The only other Panasonic I'd consider for this space is the ZT which is supposed to handle bright rooms and reflections better. IMO, the VT and ZT are not worth the extra $$$ considering how well the ST is performing for my needs. Oh and I watch tv with a lamp on next to me.

They are automatically taking an extra 5% off for their Friends and Family coupon through Tuesday. They are also supposed to apply the discount if you purchase in store.

That's pretty much all I've seen more or less. That's why I picked mind up before Black Friday, thinking it wouldn't go lower. Amazon will price match if it goes lower soon, plus you get enhanced delivery, 2% store credit back.

The 55ST60 was as low as $1162-ish, delivered, on the Panasonic site for several days approaching and including Black Friday. You have to get access to the member price or whatever the term is, however. So, not a price which was available to everyone. But that was the lowest I'm aware of.

I "joined" hoping to get a better price, but it never dropped below $1295 for me. I saw people here talking about an EPP login, I think that's something different.
