Are you sure about the full warranty from the date of purchase on a floor model? This is the first I've heard of this as it seems many warranties explicitly exclude store models from warranty protection.

yes

floor models are covered by Panasonic( Samsung and LG)
as long as they are bought from an authorized retailer

BUT....I do know that Panasonic has specific wording in their warranty that says its only good for the FIRST retail purchaser
So...even if you purchase a new in box TV from the original purchaser the factory warranty does not transfer to you
You might be able to get around this with a gift receipt...but that is the wording of the Panasonic warranty

I say this because there were people buying extra VT/ZT model Tv's when the prices hot bottom a few months ago..in anticipation of a market increase in price

According to Panasonic the factory warranty wont transfer to a new owner

If anyone is still looking for one of these....a 65"
I saw an open box units at a Best Buy in Cincinnati

its no bargain...but I dont think they are asking an unfair price either

It says it is missing the remote and the glasses.....neither of which are a big deal

I would assume it has been sent in for service at some point and after it was repaired it was sent back to the store

Look at the Best Buy website and enter zipcode 45240 and it will bring up the Tri-County Store

check their open box and clearance section for asking price

Hi All,

Newbie here(in terms of # of posts).

What's a good price to pay on a used 65"ST60 assuming it's in an excellent condition(claimed by seller).

Thanks!

Anyone? Looking for some expert opinions from the Gurus here. Appreciate your help.

What in your opinions should be a fair price for a March 2013(3.5 years old) manufactured "excellent" 65 inch Panasonic TC-P65ST60?

You might want to find out how many hours are on it. If you go to the main ST60 forum, you should be able to find out what the code is to obtain that information. I forget the code, but it's mentioned several times. Maybe the site is still active enough if you post the question you'll get an answer.

That's only 1.5 hours/day. If there are no "burn-ins" -- sounds good to me. Especially for a 65".

Thanks. This TV is @3.5 years old. What's a fair price in your opinion? The lowest price new that I saw on the ST60 forum was $1700. Low price was @$1900.

As I recall, I paid $1500 (approx) for our 60" (new). Haven't the faintest idea of how to price used equipment.

Yes, the TV is 3.5 years old but there's no replacement in the same price range. Apparently OLED is what comes close. So as with other rare quality items the price goes up.

I paid $800 for my display model two years ago. It seems this is pretty low mileage on the one you're looking at so $1000 seems a good target price.
