Amazon is really the only retailer that has them in stock. Their price is $2299, so that's probably the best deal. You may catch a straggler out at Magnolia or Paul's, especially if you are willing to purchase an open box or store display. My advice, make your decision now. Amazon will likely be out by Super Bowl. Even the displays at other retailers will be scarce by then as well.

Though I am an employee of Magnolia Home Theater, the views and opinions I express on this forum are those of my own and not my employer.

I also had an issue with CEVA (called to change delivery date, but they claimed I never called) and had Amazin credit $100 as well. Once CEVA came, they were great and put the tv in the stand, let me take my time, etc. CEVA sure is costing amazon some $$$.

Amazon still has over 500 left? You don't think we are due for a price drop in the future?

I've been monitoring the stock and the rate at which they are selling at has seemed to increase (esp today since it is a weekend). If it is not slowing down, I don't see the point of lowering the price. I bet they won't be in stock within two weeks max. Mineaswell order now and you will be protected by price match by the time it sells out.

Is the 14 day price protection from the order date or the actual delivery date?

It says 14 days after they "ship". It may be like a week before they ship so what happens if the price drops between the order date and the ship date?

PC Richard currently has the 65VT60 for $2,228.91.  They are on the Amazon price match list of retailers.  Amazon was happy to match the price and I just ordered mine!

How does the Amazon price protection work?

Say they reimbursed you from the PC Richard promo and next week Paul's TV has it for another $200 less than PC Richards did. Do they give you another $200 back?

I just chatted with Amazon and got the price match. I asked them if they would do another price match if it drops again--their reply: "According to the terms and conditions for the Low Price Guarantee Only one unit purchased of an item per customer is eligible for the Guarantee (that is, multiple claims on the same item will not be eligible, regardless of the quantity ordered), and the Guarantee can only be applied once per item, even if a lower-priced offer is subsequently found."

However, I am confident that if a better price does indeed pop up Amazon would honor it.

You hit the nail right on the head. You never lower the price if the velocity is increasing. It would make ZERO sense. And with other retailers continuing to run out, the velocity will only increase more. The inventory they are sitting on just showed up a couple weeks ago. They likely don't even have to pay Panasonic for it for another month and a half. Why decrease your profit trying to burn through inventory that you haven't even paid for yet?

If they don't price match if the price drops again you can always cancel or return your order and re buy at the lower price.

I called before I ordered. They looked at PCRichard and saw the $66 difference and applied the promotion to my cart. Then I bought the TV. Thanks for the head's up on the price difference. Very excited to be getting a sweet TV at a great price. I ended up paying $2228-$44.56(2% rewards)-$133.68 (6% off on gift cards at grocery stores w/ amex blue cash preferred) for a total of $2049.76.

PC Richard seems like a better deal than Amazon. They have a 30 day price match and 30 day free returns(tv must be unopened or used).

Just ordered the 65VT60 w/ price match to PC Richards. Props to KFBR for the heads up. 2294 - 66(price match) - 1% (CC reward) - 2%(Amazon credit) = 2162 w/ white glove delivery. Not bad at all.

Now - any suggestions on breaking the news to the wife? My ZT60 I ordered 2 weeks ago is still running the slides smile.gif
