Yeah, mine started at Thanksgiving too. Started with one 50S60 from the Sears deal, then bought up all the 65S60 and PS64s I could find from Sams and Costco, a 60 & 65ST60 from hhgregg and now these VTs. My wife is about to kill whoever started this site because the house has turned into a warehouse and the bank account is dropping like a rock!

I would think so... still showing $1998.99 in the cart for me as well.... and 237 available.... check out fast before they change the price for those that already put it in their cart (I've had them do that on something for me in the past in the space of a few minutes)...

if it ends up in master bedroom, that room currently has a monoprice one.... if I move every flat panel in the house around, it might end up with a chief, it might end up with a promounts one I got for free from local distributor as bonus for all my purchases recently smile.gif family room LG plasma is still on the stand... and has had balls bounced off it as recently as yesterday by a certain 22 month old..... i think it needs wall mounting at a little elevated height away from touching hands who like the pretty blue/red power button as well smile.gif

the monoprice mounts have worked fine and I've recommended them to lots of folks looking to get a value mount.... the Chief ones are my personal favorites, but have a price to match. Even plasma panels today are so ridiculously light compared to the models of 5-10 years ago that most of the mounts out there will get the job done.... if you want super flush wall mount (since these panny's have the connectors on the back in a good orientation to permit closer wall mounting), just read some of the reviews about folks experiences with slim wall mounts. I've never really liked them and most plasmas I've installed over the years wouldn't permit you to use them because of the orientation of connection plug panel on back... no sense trying ot mount 0.5" off the wall when you need 4 inches of clearance for your monoprice HDMI cables to make the bend and not break off the HDMI connector on the TV wink.gif hehehe)

It's still 1999.98 in my cart (all 235 of them), and unless we hear of pricematches being denied, I think the deal is still alive, yeah?

Its 1999.98 in my cart... if you try to check out it keeps the price but limits you to 3... am trying to decide if I want to reorder with the 24mo financing... or keep my pre-existing price matched order...

Hurry up and call Amazon customer service and ask for the Large Items dept. After e-mailing them about 2 hours ago and not getting a response, I just called them and spoke to a CSR (Thank You Frank!) who adjusted the price and refunded me the difference which was about $161 after factoring in taxes.

I bought my 65VT60 on dec 1st when it was on sale for $2149 fyi wink.gif

Same... they adjusted my price when I got the 2150 deal. However, I had the item delivered on dec 30th so it wasn't that far off from the ship date.

I also ordered mine on Dec 1st... I was thinking about doing this after I got home from work but looks like the price already went back up tongue.gif. Thank you for letting me know though... Amazon has already given me $70 credit because of a bad CEVA experience. I also received a $10 gift card and just yesterday got my promotional 2% back added to my account. Amazon really is a truly amazing company... it seems like they just keep on giving. Nice job on getting $161 back!! Well done!

I got mine for $2149 also after a price match with Abt. Now I filed a claim with Discover to get the new price. For anyone who bought with Discover, file a price protection claim as long as you are in the 90 day protection period. You will need to call Discover and they mail you a claim form. You will need to include a screen shot of the price. Looks like Amazon price went back up, but still showing at Best Buy.

I just ordered one Saturday and was able to call today and get a $295 refund on the price difference.

I'm upgrading a 65ST50 which will be moved to the bedroom and wall mounted. I think 65" is just about right for a bedroom TV. My 65ST50 has been great so I can't wait to see how much better this TV is.

Keeping the Kuro Pro-111fd in the mancave, but upgrading living room display from a Panny 58PZ700U to a 65VT60. Now what to do with the PZ700U?

ISF Calibrator
Samsung PN64F8500
Pioneer Kuro Elite Pro-111FD
Pioneer Kuro BDP-320
Displays are like 100% cotton t-shirts. Always buy a size larger than you think you'll need, as they tend to shrink over time.

Go ahead and give em a call either way. Ask for someone in the large items dept and go from there. I'm sure you'll get a refund.

^I did give up my 111, but it wasn't a hard decision after seeing how they measure up side-by-side (very close). A 500M would've been harder to let go.

With the exception of the ZT...that limited run has caused it to hold relatively steady, with a low of $2800, and more recent climbs. I'm okay with that, since I bought mine in early June for an effective price of $2995 + tax.

Well I had to buy one. I was eating lunch earlier today reading deals thread and saw Amazon dropped it to $1999. I couldn't resist. I been wanting a 60" for awhile all this year since it seemed like that size was a sweet spot for pricing. But now I'm stoked about getting the biggest size.

and for some reason....there is ample open box inventory at Magnolia...each of the 3 magnolia home theaters in my market they have at least one...and one store has 2 of them

For a relatively low volume model...that seems excessive to me

On another note

I bet someone ,3-4 months from now, will snag an open box unit 65" ZT unit for less than $1500

but...I got in on the Conn's deal on the Samsung 64" F8500...for even less ( tax included) than the Amazon deal currently going on with the Panasonic 65" VT.....biggrin.gif

Relatively speaking, it's not that low volume of a model for Magnolia.

Though I am an employee of Magnolia Home Theater, the views and opinions I express on this forum are those of my own and not my employer.

Why did you buy so many plasmas at once? I could see one, maybe two, but considering what's coming down the pike (Panny's new Studio Master LCD panel, Vizio's FALD sets, Toshiba's Radiance FALD displays. OLED, HDMI 2.0, and so on), I think maybe it would've been wise to see what's coming the next couple years rather than stockpiling plasmas. But hey, it's your money.

FWIW I have five plasmas myself (got my first in 2006), so I get their allure, but after getting my VT, I'm excited to see the huge leaps that LCD has taken (judging by the news coming from CES).

How does the Discover price match work anyway? I just recently got a Discover card but haven't used it yet. They guarantee a price for 90 days? Can it be sold at another store or it has to be the same store you purchased it from? All you need is a screen shot?

If they price match any store, can you technically order a TV from Amazon or Best Buy and then have Discover price match a place like East Coast TV's?

Went from a peak of 76 units sold in an hour down to one in the last hour :-P. I wonder if this will hurt sales for Amazon. They were steadily selling 30-50 per day, but I have a feeing people will not hold out for better deals (not to mention the $$$ lost from dropping the price so drastically).

Should be interesting. I can promise you they were making next to nothing on those, for $1999.
