I picked up one of these at Sam's Club in Monroeville, PA yesterday. $1229. There was one more left and the display model. The one that was still there appears to have been opened by someone. Maybe a deal to be made there.

Purchased a refurbished 65S64 from Sears. Shipping date was 12/20 and it still hasn't arrived so they just refunded shipping. It is finally coming this week.

But I got impatient and after looking around just purchased a 65ZT60. Now I have a decision to make. If I stay with the ZT the S64 will be headed for my local Sears.

make sure you call the store before you accept delivery. I purchased the same thing and was originally told it could be returned to the store, so i called to confirm and the store manager said they are not obligated to accept it. i ended up refusing delivery and bought an ST60.

Appreciate the tip. I already called the delivery company and refused it over the phone. But yes, Sears told me that I could return it to a big store, but I've read that some refuse to take it.

I've been trying to find these for the past couple weeks. Have called all local Costco's in hope that they may still have 1 returned, no luck so far. Anyone know of any stores in FL that may have 1?

I stopped by the Broadway Sam's (most central to downtown Denver) last night and there is no longer a display model or any evidence of one. All they have now are LCDs. I guess they cleared them out by Black Friday. Too bad plasmas are becoming extinct - Betamax redux.

For those still looking. The Lantana SAMs club in south FL has five of the 65" s64 plus the display model. For $1178.71. GREAT deal if you ask me. But I already purchased my 70" sharp aquos up in NY.
I physically saw them on the shelf today.

So give them a call if someone wants one or five lol

Wish I would have seen this earlier. I'll be there tomorrow. Thanks. I've been trying to find a 65VT60 but haven't had any luck. Brandsmart is now asking 3K for one of those.

Called them up and they're down to three left but it's been raining all day and I wasn't about to try and bring this home in the rain. Water and electronics don't mix.

My Sam's has a floor model for $850.
It is set very dark. Not sure of hours. I have no interest for the set.

Found this set locally for $800 while I was searching for a 60" ST series.

Looks like a deal I better jump on. Sets are brand new in box, 30 day return policy.

I am returning a 65" one of these to Sams Club in Greensburg, PA 15601. It works flawlessly. I just ended up getting a 65" ZT60.

I bought mine for refurbished for $1199 free shipping no tax from newegg.com about a week or so ago. That was $100 less than the same model that overstock.com has had up for about a month now.

Mine is arriving tomorrow.  Git it from Newegg after I saw your post.  I saw this tv TC65PS64 being sold by numerous companies, kmart, newegg, overstock.com, even sears.com, and several OTHER online stores, but all as refurbished.  It was like a short time period flood of them.

Does anyone have any info as to why they were ALL being sold as refurbished?  And anyone know what they are meaning by saying "refurbished" with this flooded group of TV's.

I hope this is on the up & up.

Not trying to be a jerk, but they are probably all being sold, at those locations, listed as refurbished because they are refurbished. They were probably returned with something wrong and fixed and now being sold as refurbs. That's why the lower price. Congrats on getting one from newegg, i looked at getting one there after seeing advocate's post and was too late.

Hope the tv works out for you. Please post your reactions once you get it.

Be good or be good at it

Got the TV on Tuesday and my reactions are a bit mixed.  The TV is absolutely fantastic as to the picture and I am really impressed with how it doesn't reflect the daytime light from my window the way my 60" plasma did.  Can't be more pleased with its' picture.  However on the other side the built in wi-fi does not work in any way.  When you choose to find a wi-fi signal from 'Network Connections', it searches for about 5 seconds then gives a pop-up message that says to plug in a wireless N adapter to the USB port and try again.  This TV advertises "built in" wi-fi, not wi-fi ready and the owners manual, the Panasonic web sight, as well as the on screen instructions, do not instruct you to use a USB wireless N adapter in any way.  But I tried plugging one in the USB port anyway, and after doing that and searching for my wi-fi signal again, it says wi-fi not found please use the TV's Ethernet port.

Oh well, it only had 6 wi-fi apps anyway, and I mainly wanted that for the easy app links to Netflix and Amazon Instant Video.  I guess I'll just hook up my Roku for that, but I really wanted the wi-fi ability for speed and to keep one of the 2 HDMI ports freed up.  But the picture definitely is awesome.

I just bought the 65PS64 on BestBuy.com as a refurb item. I've never had experience with refurbs regarding TV's. Should I be worried?

I scored one of these last week at Sam's club. I can't believe they had one left after reading this thread. This one was the last unopened one on the floor, they had still had the display model. I haven't messed with it too much as I'm still waiting for my mounting bracket to arrive, but I'm really happy I found one. I much prefer plasma over LCD. I can't wait to get it all setup!

Called my 3 nearest Sam 's Clubs over a 50 mile radius and nothing. Best Buy and Sears only have 50 inch display models, nothing 60' or above.  Consider yourself lucky :)

My Fort Myers/Cape Coral area is dry. Thirst is real for this plasma (ST60, S60). Could do with a 60 or 65. Saw a grandma walk out of a Best Buy store looking for one and I am like....are you serious?

First post after much lurking. Hunt continues.

This is probably a scam site. Has a deal for a TC-65PST60 for $1559 plus shipping. Got there cause it was listed for a while on amazon under the same name - couldn't buy through amazon. Forced you to go to the website.

Seems fishy to me:

Paypal ordering doesn't work. Phone number on the NJ "shop" doesn't work either. Tried to find the shop on the shopping center it's supposed to operate and nothing. A SCAM most likely. They have all of the models there on stock. Also says they are an authorized reseller but no list to be found on Panasonics website beside big time retailers.

http://www.balisys.com/televisions-12-c.asp

I am thirsty for a set but not going to bite on this one for sure.

Yep. BUYER BEWARE!!!!!

They still post the ad on amazon's website once or twice a day for a 20-30 minute window and disappears. Part of Amazon ads. Amazon sells these to anyone, including big time scammers.

Looks like this is available again on Amazon.

http://www.amazon.com/gp/offer-listing/B00BC4SN9S/ref=sr_1_2_olp?ie=UTF8&qid=1396025098&sr=8-2&keywords=TC-65PS64&condition=new

The cheapest price is actually the TC-65PS64 model instead of TC-P65VT60.  From What I understand its the exact same TV both with incredible reviews. Anyone know the difference?

You are incorrect, they are NOT the exact same TV.

Note that the S64 is identical to the S60, the difference being that the S64 has an anti-reflective/anti-glare coating, and the S60 does not.
