it looks like 2497, free inside shipping is about the best deal from an authorized dealer for the 64"

I think I may pull the trigger

all of the super low , abes, nice, eastcoast, kinda scare me off

anyone doing any better?

no one can ADVERTISE a lower price, but that doesn't mean you can't negotiate a lower price.

ISF Calibrator
Samsung PN64F8500
Pioneer Kuro Elite Pro-111FD
Pioneer Kuro BDP-320
Displays are like 100% cotton t-shirts. Always buy a size larger than you think you'll need, as they tend to shrink over time.

I've seen the same. Aside from various open box deals, the 2500$ price seems to be pretty much universal from respectable dealers.

Are you aware of any dealers actually negotiating on it though? Even the ones that show "contact for pricing" give the same 2500$ over the phone.

That is great to hear!

I am going to be doing the same. Did you have to prove to them that the price changed after you made your purchase? And which website did they price match?

Bestbuy has sold out online. No info on backorder.

edit: I was able to order it online, delivered to my house. I can't get it pick up in store which should have saved me $150 for the sales tax. Thus, it seems Bestbuy still have stock on his home delivery channel, not the pickup in store.

I purchased mine before the big price drop.
You have to provide a screen cap of the lower price and it has to have a date on it.
There were SEVERAL dealers with a lower price but I had a HELL of a time finding one with a date on their page.
I finally found CompSource and used that.

You need to take a print out of the cheaper price at checkout from wherever you are pricematching to with a date stamp on the print out showing it was after your purchase.

If you just print to PDF is usually dates the bottom of the page. Abes of Maine is where a lot of people are price matching to.

About the sub, what you are experiencing is most likely a group-loop issue. Lots of good reading on that in the sub forum.
My eyes are level with the bottom bar of the TV on the wall. I hear it like no other when sitting directly in front of the TV. Do you think I need to raise my TV more?

It may. Can you test that out without actually moving the TV? Sit on the ground directly in front of your viewing position maybe? I ususally sit slightly offset from the center of the TV as well but not much past the left or right edge, a foot at most.

I agree with that 100%. If I sit 2 ft to either side of dead center I hear nothing. But I set my TV to be dead center of my seating position. Silly me..

I will try sitting on the floor. I'm also going to try moving all the boxes behind my sofa and pushing it back the extra 4ft I can. Should put me at about 16ft from the screen.

The 10% movers guide excludes the 8500 plasma. Specifically "premium samsung tv's". You would need to get someone in a store to override it.

Received my 64F8500 from Abt.com today, very happy with the company and the TV.

The shipping on the other hand was pretty poor..."white glove" meant the guy rolling it to my front door and saying "This is all I can take it to" so I asked if we can lift it into the house, he agrees...then I ask if we can open it up to make sure it's in good shape and turns on to which he says "You can if you want, my job is just to deliver it...if something is wrong with it then you have to call the company you bought it from, I'm just supposed to drop it off". I wonder if Abt.com knows this is the type of service their shipping company is providing as "white glove".

Although your deal from December may never be beat, $2100 is a good current deal for those that can get it.

No doubt, but for those of us buying online, 2500 with white glove is about it for now, I'm ok with this price after many calls

The stock is getting low, don't wait too much longer.

Everyone is out around here Local or wants the same price or higher with tax
