And since you posted, down to 18. A sudden sales uptick from the frantic apparently...these won't last through CES at this rate.

EDIT: 17 left.

I know time is running out and I need to make a decision quick, but I'm still stuck between the ZT & VT (upstairs bonus room, one small window so environment is dim to dark). Probably 60% movies, 30% gaming, 10% sports, tv, & home videos. I keeping reading that VT & ZT are the same in a dark room so should I save myself the $500 since my bonus room is dim to dark? I'm not in hurry (I have a ST60 in the living room) so I've thought about seeing how Samsung's 2014 flagship plasma performs (although I doubt it will outperform the VT & ZT in dark rooms).

advice?

thanks!

The ZT60 will give the perception of a deeper black level in dim rooms as well...the filter is something to behold.

Amazon is down to 14...

EDIT: And now 13.

EDIT #2: 11!

I'm glad someone else agrees with me about the filter and optically bonded glass. I prefer it as well.

Only 1 left now on Amazon.

I got mine delivered from Amazon today. I was worried about there being a problem with it and Amazon having none left to replace it, but mine seems fine. Running the slides now.

What was the build date of your ZT60 from Amazon. I purchased one of the remaining few and was wondering if these last ones were manufactured after August with the fan mod?

Thanks!

Best Buy still has the 65 inch zt on their website for 2799. That price wont last long with Amazon not having anymore for now.

It's got an October date. Sounds pretty quiet to me. I ordered on Dec.26th.

Paul's TV price is now back up to $2999.97 for the 65ZT60. It took them just an hour or so after Amazon ran out of their stock to go in and raise their price! Best Buy still has it for $2799.98 but I have a feeling that won't last long either.

I got one of the 65ZT from Amazon today. Shopped at Best Buy on Tuesday and they only had 13 left in the FL region and we're sold out of the VT.

Question for those bought from Amazon. When it arrives, do they leave it at the door step or bring it in to the room to allow for inspection, power up?

Also, I read that you can get the Square extended warranty from Costco even though not a member! can anyone describe how they did that? I had the 5 year Square Warranty in my cart from Amazon, but thought the Costco would be better deal. Anyone buy a Square extended warranty?

I'm wondering why Samsung didn't lower prices on their F8500 (below $3,000) to meet the lower prices from Panasonic on the ZT60? Their sales had to be affected by Panasonic's aggressive pricing. In fact, I haven't seen a new Amazon review on the F8500 for weeks, while the Panasonic reviews increase almost daily.

No need now. They were likely just waiting out the Panasonic inventory. No sense getting into a pricing war. Four more weeks and they'll be the only premium plasma available.

I got my 65ZT from Amazon. These TVs qualify for Enhanced Delivery so the TV is brought in, unpacked, and powered up for the customer to inspect. See this http://www.amazon.com/gp/help/customer/display.html?nodeId=201238350

I also got the 5 year Square Trade warranty from Amazon. It is a very good price. Some people prefer Best Buys warranty for some reason but I'm not familiar with it so I can't speak for that.

i also bought the square trade warrant via Costco. easy to do - go to costco.com and follow the directions.

Best Buy's warranty is supposed to cover burn-in. It's pretty expensive, though!

We're you charged a non-member fee and Tax on your warranty? Do you still get the conceirge for two years and then Square for 3, total of 5? Is it different then the 5 year sold on Amazon?

Which one did you get. I saw the over $3000 5 year cheaper then the one that went to $2999. Wasn't sure how that would work?

I wonder how many 65zt60 panels were made in total? Does Panasonic ever publish that number?

It seems to me that there just aren't that many of these sets out in the wild. I don't know how many I thought they made, but I guess I just expect consumer electronics to be made by the bazillion. Glad I picked up mine right before Christmas.

"Why we getting new washer?", my 3 yr old daughter Riley upon seeing our new FV15HP.
