So, I've been browsing for a used 65" VT50 for a buddy of mine and I fell upon one that one guy is selling for about $2000, no wiggle room. I saw the TV itself and it looks great; no blemeshies, no IR or burn-in, comes with both remotes and the connector cable, that's it. Do you think this is a good buy cuz I sure think it is? Oh and it has about 1000 hours on it, he showed me in the system menu.

Don't know where you are, but I was just in a Best Buy (Westminster, CA) that had a used 65VT50 for 1700.

why bother? when a brand new TCP65ST60 can be had for less than $1900.

Don't know if I'd trust All Time Tvs...

I do agree that maybe if you can find a 65VT50 from Best Buy like was mentioned already that may be good, but I paid an astounding 1595 for mine from them cause it was a display w a tiny scratch...approx 2800 hours use. Not fresh, but not a year's worth of display time that's for sure. 2000 bucks for 1000 hours 65VT50 sounds like a good deal. (And in CA, you avoid tax buy buying from someone else!) You do lack the protection of a store purchase though.

I can tell you I am over the moon still about my 65VT50, even with the nightmare that is Panasonic's customer service in trying to get an issue fixed on it. PQ is great, better than ST60 IMO, no inut lag issues, color can be dialed in very exactly w calibration...there is a reason this thing was so highly praised.

FYI, amazon has this TV right now for $1867 with free shipping and 2% back in rewards. Can also get 24month no interest financing. I picked one up, supposed to be delivered tomorrow.
