May 2017 -Any Market Value for Panny Plasma?

Hello HT'ers... I just purchased an open box Vizio P65 from Costco. I was skeptical that it would yield a better image than my Panasonic Plasma but I must admit, I am really blown away!

Having said that, there is something about a Plasma image that is still to be appreciated. When I purchased my Plasma, I knew it would consume more power than an LCD and not as bright, but you could not beat the image quality, especially for fast motion sports like Hockey.

My question is whether there is a still a reasonable resale market for my set.

I would rather replace it with a more run of the mill 4K LED LCD as a second TV downstairs in the basement family room for kids to play video games.

My set is a Panasonic P60ST30 60" plasma. I know it's not the top of the line VT series but do you think there are other Home Theater enthusiasts still interested in buying one of these in great shape.

I plan to list it on CL in Detroit. Please let me know your opinions.

thanks,
Marc

I am in a similar situation as you. I am trying to figure out the value of my P60ST50 I was able to find one for sale on CL in the USA and he is asking a crazy $950 obo. I think I would be fine with getting 1/5 of that lol

I think there is still a market for these but it is not going to be an easy sell with all the dirt cheap 4K TV's flooding the market.

I'm in the same boat and moved my 60 inch Kuro plasma to the bedroom as a 2nd TV. I think its worth more as a 2nd tv that I could sell it for.

I am considering that too but for me it would hardly ever get used and not sure I can justify the space it takes up for occasional use.
