Audio General is all out of new ones at $1869 and b-stock at $1250 (90 day warranty). Is there anywhere else in this price point where I can pick one up now?

I can't promise its the lowest, but I got mine on sale at projectorpeople.com for $1,700. That was after a rebate which I believe is running through february.

The $1869 was $1629 after the $250 rebate. I wonder is anyone is cheaper than PP?

If there is anyone with a better deal than PP, I couldn't find it . Just pulled the trigger yesterday because my usual dealer is sold out of the 4000 and says there are no more in the pipeline. PP had new "A" stock on hand and a solid reputation. I was expecting (and waiting for) a new version of the 4000 to replace my wonderful 200, but as we now know, Panny decided to go 3-D high and Living Room low and dump the middle. Hopefully, this will be the last PJ I'll need till I'm too old to care (not that far away :-)

I placed order from Amazon for $2000, but the shipping will take place between middle of Feb to March. Can I claim the mailing rebate for $250 since i bought the projector from Amazon?

Mine shipped yesterday from PP as well. 1699 after the rebate as others have mentioned. Plus you get the extended warranty up to 3 years/2000 hours. I only watch movies on mine so the 3 years I will come to before 2000 hours. They also throw in the R&B Films Disney Wow Calibration Disc fwiw.

I was going to go with the 7000 but my heart is not into current 3-D at all and for 1000.00 extra...plus glasses...nah
