Can someone post a link to this JVC ebay store? I googled "JVC ebay store" and the link said the store does not exist.

The name of the eBay store is jvcprostore. Strange, but they only have 5 feedback ratings in the last 6 months.

Seems like a legit storefront for JVC Pro. Anyone get theirs yet? Looks like they might have oversold the RS35 (someone left a neg feedback), but no comments from the other recent sales otherwise.

If it ain't in HD, it ain't worth watching!

Why so long? That was more than 2 weeks ago and you still don't have it?

I got the PJ...a couple of issues

First, although it was double boxed, which is good, the PJ inside the second box (although it came with the foam to support it) was loose inside the box. What I mean is that they should have filled the rest of the inner box with foam pellets or something to avoid movement while in traffic.

The les cover was mid opened, and when I tried to power it up, a couple of times I get lamp warning...Eventually, I got it to work, when I turned it off it closed the cover properly, but I wonder if it will continue working fine when I turn it on to watch NBA tonight, or if this will continue to be a problem.

Just got an hour to play with it last night.....Pretty bright image on a 100 in 1.8 gain screen on low lamp..Brighter than my Mitshu HC6800 and better contrast. My first impression however is that the Mitsu is sharper...Lets give it some time and I will try to run them side by side to see. Need to find out if I can go bigger, and how much.....preferably in low lamp.....

Thanks for information! I am myself keen on JVC refurbs and thus curious about how things go with you. Want to ask one thing - HC6800 was already 1080p. You didn't think of going 3D in your planned upgrade?

I onced though of getting a used RS-40 or the cheaper Epson 3D. After reading several reviews I was not that thrilled with the state of afairs of 3D. Also, I mostly rent blue rays, which are not available on RedBox on 3D, yet. I wanted a PJ with better contrast than the 6800, so when I saw the HD-250 at the refurb price decided to jump in. I do kind of like 3D, so maybe there is one in my future, 2-3 yrs. when the brightness and gosting has improved......

The Mitsu was very good on quality material, but the less quality feeds defenitely benefits more from the JVC. The JVC has some motion blurr as been reported, like in fast motion NBA action, but its mostly OK. I have to put them side by side, but my recollection is that the Mitsu had a bit less blurr.....

BTW, the initial problem with the JVC auto lens cover has gone...its working nicely the past few days....

Thinking about selling my epson 3010 for a RS1. Don't really need 3D any more. Would the black be much much better, or just nah?

Everyone that was able to get a refurb HD-250, how have your units been? Has the convergence been good, or any other issues? I would've loved to have been able to get one of these units and will keep looking if/when JVC has these again.

Thanks,
Mike

I got the refurb. unit...when I fisrt fired it up had problems with the lens conver and won't operate...had to give the cover a little push and worked fine since....The picture quality is very good...good contrast.....nice looking blue ray picture....a little image blur on sports (NBA) but still ok....very bright on my 100 dia. 1.8 gain screen. happy with it so far...I got it for the listed price and two yrs. factory warranty.......

My other complaint was that while it was double boxed, they should have put more packaging material to avoid the inner box from moving during transport....this is what probably caused the original problem with the lens cover since the cover was kind of partially opened, like at midway, when it arrived...As I said earlier, nothing that could not be fixed by a little push on the lens cover and working fine since.....

Thanks for the info. I have a RS40 but I have a friend who I have been trying to find a cheaper JVC for.

Thanks,

None at all. I have a friend who I have been trying to find a cheaper JVC for. He is disabled and just wants it for 2d only.
