Available again from the Epson store. Might not be the lowest price ever, but given the scarcity of refurb UB models lately, this one is a pretty good deal. It is still $350 cheaper than the 5010 refurbs at Visual Apex. I would assume quantities are pretty limited.

3010 is not equivalent to UB models though. It would be more like a 3D version of the 8350. The 3010 refurb (non-e version) is actually cheaper from Visual Apex.. only $949.

Do the refurbs still have the short bulb life issues?

Its pretty well known that Epson will replace the bulb for you during the 2-year warranty if you call and ask. If you are smart about usage (not a lot of unnecessary power cycles), I would expect a realistic 1000hrs out of a bulb on these. If you use high-altitude (extra cooling fan) and/or the ECO setting (lower light output), you will get longer. I don't think anyone has seen the 4k hours that Epson advertised originally.
