what do you think of it. I am debating this projector and the w1070 and the epson 8350. I am sensitive to RBE and I can see it on the w1070. I also am not a fan of the HDMI handshake issues with the w1070.

I just ordered one from Tiger Direct which has it with two glasses and the emitter for $999.99

http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=8684187&CatId=4299 Sorry if I'm not suppose to provide links it's been awhile since I've posted here.

You have 14 days for the return policy and if you sign up with shoprunner.com you get free shipping both ways and its free to sign up.

Hoping to be happy with this as I'm upgrading from an Optoma HD70 that I was very satisfied with. Also, looking forward to seeing what others use for screens and settings.

I want to pull the trigger on this one. I have a pure dark theater if I want, but I tend to watch a lot of hockey and would like to have a dimmed wall sconce or two on. Anyone have any comments about this projector in a room with low ambient light? I definitely can control lighting.

It is too bad that tiger direct is not listed an an authorized retailer. Shop runner is the warranty solution then I suppose.

I ended up pulling the trigger on the tiger direct combo for $999 with the shop runner promo shipping. I think that I have the ideal setting for this projector to take advantage of the picture quality. 2D picture quality was my #1 priority, then 2D gaming occasionally.

I got it for 999 from projector people

It is awesome!!!

I have total darkness, if there's any lights on it's washed out (could be the screen too)

But it is fantastic overall

Hi Jibber11,
Did you try to use different picture settings with higher brightness when to have some light on? Also how is the RBE? Thanks

I set the wheel to 6x and see it only a few times very very briefly (a brief flash) throughout a movie, not a bother at all.

No one else has mentioned it, and I don't ask, I'm afraid I'll put it in their heads if I do.

I haven't adjusted much, it's decent with the lights on, but just explodes in the dark....colors are fantastic in my opinion.

This is my first projector, the kids and wife were also blown away.

If you have light control, this unit rocks!

I did but I have no real interest in 3D and as a Canadian ordering from a US site and shipping to a US address I'd rather deal with best buy as they have an actual policy regarding this situation.

I am so tempted to send my Amazon Optoma HD131Xe order back and grab this one ($999 shipped is a great price) but I am afraid it is not bright enough. I have a 125" screen and sometimes watch sports during the day with some ambient light. My current projector is much brighter than this one and struggles unless the room is dark...

If I had a smaller screen or a darker room I would grab this one, great deal.

TigerDirect is not listed as an authorized online dealer, so it could void the warranty.

I'm going to have to take some measurements and run some calculators to see if the throw works for my un-started HT.
Currently the best deal looks to be the bundle, but you guys forgot to mention the $50 rebate to get it down to $949.99 + a few bucks for shipping:
http://www.gosale.com/5818280/mitsubishi-hc7900dw-home

The PP deal is $50 cheaper but doesn't include the glasses or emitter.
