... I went through the checkout process. It requires you to buy an AMAZON GIFT CARD.
!!! VERY SUSPECT !!!
I was going to use my Amex card to get an extra year warranty on the projector. Even if this is legit and you get the projector, you have ZERO protection from your credit card. YOU ARE BUYING A GIFT CARD NOT A PROJECTOR.
Price looks great but there is almost no info on this company and the payment method is garbage. I'm going to pass.
my setup: XBMC, Windows Media Center, Z-Wave/Insteon automation, Paradigm-Parasound-Onkyo-Velodyne Home Theater, 110" DIY Screen & BenQ W1070
That's unfortunate to hear. I googled "vytox legitimate" and saw video reviews of many people saying it's a legitimate website. I guess they're all phonies. It's scary that so many normal looking/sounding people can be payed to vouch for a illegitimate business.
Sorry for posting this!
Val Lorien Blu-ray: Anyone else surprised that Sony finally won a format war?
That kinda depends on the company. Some company's idea of refurbishing a product is clicking it on to see if it powers up and then putting new plastic on it and calling it good. Other companies will go through and make sure EVERYTHING is up to spec. I've had bad luck and great luck with refurbs. Unless it was a killer deal on a tv I wouldn't do it. I'm not familiar enough with projectors to know what parts they have that can wear out to say.
