Best HDD around for storage IMO.

These are back up at $119.99 with code EMCYTZT3078 on Newegg through tomorrow. Amazon has them at the same price. (which works out for me to avoid tax) Buying two to combine with the one I got during Christmas time to get a server started. Too bad it's not the $90 I paid then tongue.gif

Quick question though, my HTPC has been making chirping/clicking noises since I added this drive. Is there something wrong with it, or is this normal?

Chirping is normal for this drive. A firmware upgrade changes the sound to something a bit quieter, but you'll still hear it. Anytime it's inactive for 30 seconds, it parks the heads, and the chirps and clicks occur when the drive is accessed again.

Whats the warranty on this drive?
Newegg says 2 years. Amazon says 1 year.

If it's 1 year, this is a deal breaker.

I just received three of these drives from Amazon and after entering all the drives into the Seagate warranty checker they all came back with 2 years.

I have a Microcenter near me. I will try and see if I can get them to pricematch this drive to $120.
