I was in Chicago today and saw Xfinity advertising 505! I'm from the Bay Area and had to jump through hoops to get 105 without a truck roll. I wonder if there is a double speed offer for their market from 105 to something higher?

Some markets have something like 150. However, in my area the 505 is $399/month and you have a high termination fee and high installation fee. At least with 505 you don't have a data cap.

Finally Upgraded

Well the other night a local apartment burned down and we lost power and internet for about 5 hours. When it was restored and after rebooting my router and modem several times, I ran a speed test to verify connection. Much to my surprise my download speed has finally been increased. I live in Scranton, PA

I then turned off my iPhone's data package and ran a speed test on the WiFi on that and got.
ping 39 ms, Download 80.48Mb/s, Upload 11.81 Mb/s

I was amazed that my phone could go that fast on my wireless AC connection.

When first leaked, I tried several times but no luck... Now starting to see Tv commercials here in Northern California saying "double speed is coming soon for two most popular plans". Coincidentally in the past few weeks the cable Tv/internet has gone dead in our whole area a few times, coming back online about 10 minutes later. Rebooted modem but no speed increase. Also noticed my laptop is now finding a new WiFi connection called "xfinitywifi". Probably them taking over leased modem/gateways in nearby houses and turning them into hotspots (as I read about coming soon). Not mine! I own it.

I noticed last months bill said Blast! Internet instead of Performance Internet, so I called a couple of weeks ago and got the speed doubled from 25 Mbps to 50 Mbps in the Nashville, TN market. If I can just get rid of the HD technology fee, I'll be golden.

don't know when or why but in the past 12 months my download speed here in richmond, va went from 25 Mbps to 50-56Mbps, and now about a month ago it jumped again to 110 - 114 Mbps down and 12-14 Mbps up. Haven't called in and don't see any changes in my billing

but my netflix is still predominantly 720p thru a roku 2 xs - ???? maybe 10-15% of the time do i see 1080p

They have pretty much been doubling the speeds every twelve months. Last year, in my case, Blast 30 went to 50 and this year it went to 105.

Yep, just got my email letting me know that blast is now 105 and I can have it as soon as I reboot my router

I only pay for internet at this point, so ~$70 (total) for 105 My upload is still locked to about 12 though, meaning I can only comfortably share my plex library with my parents and her parents
