Does oppo ever sell refurbed, or is there any sites that do sales on any of the oppo bdp's? Been trying to get one for a while but can't seem to find a deal on one.

They do sell them but I think they go right away due to the popularity of the device.

Refurb BDP-103's are currently In Stock at the link above.

Wish I could pull the trigger, but I'm tapped out for a while. Best wishes to those who can!

Why buy a refurbished one? All that means is it was broken and repaired. If ypou can afford an Oppo, buy a new one, or even a used one, not one with issues.

Refurbs from OPPO come with the same 30-day return and 2-year warranty as new. People say they look like new.

I suspect most of them come from people who were just kicking tires and used the 30-day return offer.

Oppo has refurbed 103 and 105s available now on their website. I purchased one of the 103s. Was thinking about getting the Darbee edition, but for the $$$ difference, not worth it I think.

Hi All. Great thread and I'm hoping for some insight.

I'm considering the purchase of either the BDP-103 or the BDP-103D . . . but my question is why would someone choose to purchase one off of Ebay or even Amazon when you can purchase direct from Oppo for equal or even less money?

Am I missing something? Did Oppo come out with more than one version of these two models?

Thoughts??

Check carefully. The more expensive units may have been modified to be region free for Blu-ray, which requires additional hardware. OPPO cannot do that in the US.
