Selling my Bic Acoustech system. Comes with (2) PL 89's, (1) PL 28, and (4) PL 66's. I purchased the speakers in late December 2011, but started using them late January 2012. These speakers have about 50 hours of use on them. I'm selling the speakers because I don't live in a place where I can play them at above average levels at a consistent basis. These speakers are truly awesome and getting this set is a killer deal for under 1k.

Isn't this the same system that you blew a tweeter and burned up two receivers with?

It turns out it was the Onkyo 809 that was causing the problems. I purchased an Anthem MRX300 and everything has been flawless. There was no damage to any of the speakers or tweeters.

Did I read this wrong? I believe this was after replacing the receiver twice.

Yep, turns out to be a bad speaker. I called up Acousticsounddesign and he said BIC will ship out parts for me.

Now, what's your guy's thoughts about getting another PL28 and using it as a rear surround speaker for a 6.1 setup?

The receiver didn't cause any of the issues of with the speakers. BIC sent out a PL-66 that had a faulty tweeter. They shipped out a new tweeter and everything has been perfect since then. But yeah, the Onkyo receiver had nothing to do with the faulty tweeter.
