Sold to SpurDarren! Enjoy the new toy!

**********
I'm selling my passive 2011 JTR Captivator. Prefer local pickup, but can ship. I reduced the price to $1000 + shipping. I need to move this guy to make space in my house.

Can ship anywhere in the lower 48. Shipping is somewhat expensive unless you can pick it up at the terminal or have a business with a dock where it can be delivered.

This beast is in mint condition. It has the 15hz/20hz tuning options with a foam port plug that is included.

It can accept up to 4000w (with a HPF), although I've never put more than ~1800w into it (via bridged EP4000 - not included!).

El Capitan has been shockingly good for movies and music! smile.gif I decided to build my own sealed DIY subs, so I am parting ways with this, my first top shelf sub.

The finish is Duratex, and it's perfect with no blemishes.

I live in Albuquerque (87110) but am willing to ship anywhere. The warranty is transferable via Jeff Permanian at JTR Speakers. (I give him your name and contact info, and he transfers the warranty to you.) I still have all of the original shipping material, including the pallet-integrated shipping box. Total shipping weight is around 190lbs and cannot go Fedex or UPS. It must ship OTR/Carrier freight.

Man, you are GIVING this thing away! Can't believe it hasn't sold yet. I can guarantee you if you were in my area it would be gone already.

How do you like your DIY sub(s) vs the JTR. And what did you build?

Thanks for all the interested parties who contacted me!

I've been offline since Friday, but am back today. PM's sent to all of you who inquired. Shipping to the terminal quotes coming if you gave me a zip code to work with.

I'd love for somebody to be able to demo it and pick it up - plus, I'd likely make a new HT friend! Wish there was more of an HT crowd here...with ~700k ppl in a 15mi radius, you'd think so, but it's just not that type of culture in ABQ.

I had strong interest at the original price, but shipping is kinda prohibitive unless you can pick it up at the shipping terminal.

I built these and have been very happy to have the lowest octaves covered. However, from 20-80hz, the Captivator has greater output with the power I have on tap. That's the nature of sealed vs. ported, though.

Because he hasn't heard back on a shipping quote yet.

Yeah, I'm having a real issue getting shipping quotes. It's frustrating, but the sub & prospective buyer won't be hurt by a little extra turnaround time. smile.gif

It arrived today. I guess the extra $10 was to cover the extra truck ride it wasn't scheduled to have.
