SOLD

EDIT 1/27/14: Ok, I completely refinished the speakers. Sanded down, puttied up seams, kilz primer and final coat of latex satin black. The blue reflections in the drivers are from my aquarium. Pickup only. Fort Worth TX. See new pictures below. I would be happy to demo the speakers for interested buyers.

***NEW PRICE: $500 for all 5 speakers.***

I built these speakers about 3 months ago. They are fantastic speakers. All drivers in 100% working order and never pushed too hard or beyond their capabilities. I am selling because I really enjoy woodworking and I'd like to build another set of Curt's speakers (maybe the stentorians). I included a mini build set of pictures below. All cabinets made of 3/4" mdf. Glued up, routed all edges with router flush bit, routed all edges with round over bit, sanded, and painted with Kilz Original White Primer. All stuffed with the recommended amount (from Speaker Design Works) of polyfill. If someone would like to buy just the drivers and parts to build their own speakers (possibly the MLTL version), I'd be willing to disassemble the speakers to create a "kit" for the same price.

3 x of the Sealed MTM Version
2 x of the Sealed MT Version

The price of just the drivers and speaker parts was around $640. That doesn't include cost of mdf, paint, and building materials and of course the time taken to build these. I am asking $550.

I don't think I can ship these, it would need to be local. I can deliver anywhere within an hour of DFW TX.

If you take them to FedEx, they would package them for you. So, no need to only sell locally. Just have to buy pay for packaging and shipping. Hope this helps you sell them quicker

Yeah, I actually used to work for UPS...I'd be worried about shipping these lol. And when things do get broken, cases take absolutely forever to be resolved and refunded.
