Up for sale is a dual opposed custom built passive subwoofer enclosure loaded with two (2) Stereo Integrity 15" DVC (2ohm) Subwoofers.

I've put at least 20 hours into building and finishing the box, so I am trying to recoup some effort. Cost to replicate this build would be roughly $550. Any reasonable offer will be entertained. If you are local and interested in a demo, please shoot me a PM.

I built this to see how it stacks up to some other commercial and ID offerings, but I just haven't had the time to coordinate any official testing. This has been constructed for about 3 months now. I did some initial testing to ensure everything was in working order right after construction, but it's literally been unplugged and used as an end table for the entire time...

All of my gear is starting to stack up on me and it's starting to piss off the other half, so it's time to find this a good home.

Box information:
Dimensions: 17.5"W x 23"H x 25"D
Construction Material: Furniture Grade Plywood
Finish Type: Duratex
Accessories: Dual Speaker Terminal Plate (8ohm or 2 ohm configuration), Internal Wiring, Gasket Tape, Box Feet, Magnetic Grills

Here are a few pics:

Dude, it looks fantastic in the living room, perfect!

I've seen this in person, it looks great! Someone can snatch this up and plug and play with an ep4000. Unbeatable for the cost!

Would you consider a trade for one of the following:

Spectracal C6 Limited Edition colorimeter (might throw in some other calibration gear as well)

Barco 1209 CRT PJ with extremely little wear and low hours on tubes

Electrohome 8500 Ultra CRT PJ, very little wear and low hours on tubes

I live in Ohio, but I make regular trips to your area.

PS or a Pioneer VSX-1022 receiver.

ISF/THX calibrator, HDTVbyChadB
Jeti 1211

Chad,

I can't take on any more audio gear. I'm a pack rat when it comes to gear now (not as bad a some!), so I'm trying to clear shop for the time being. (Don't tell my wife, but I'm secretly saving up for a pair of Noesis...shhhhhh...)

Oh man, you saw right through me. Why even deny it. Acoustimass FTW!

Did you see the video I posted of that beast on the FOTP scene? I'll post it up here, but this is a warning to all... This is NOT for sale. You'll have to pry this "sub" from my cold dead fingers. Things don't start to get really crazy until near the end of the video...

Too funny, I have the same bose acoustimass module in my upstairs living room. Bass maxed out at +10 on my yamaha receiver and can barely hear it.

I'd love that in my bedroom. Why do all of you HT nuts have to locate yourselves on the east side of the map. mad.giftongue.gif

Clean Jerk Snatch to shoulder mount... Then just beast it up.

Feel the burn!

Or run a 80ft 10awg wire from your EP upstairs...lol

However you get it done, I'm looking forward to your impressions once you put that lil' guy nearfield.
