Pioneer SC-25 repair?

I have one I bought new that took a lightning hit. It won't power up. Fuses are good. A friend that was an electronics engineer helped me check it out. We jumped a relay and the power button lights up. He thinks the computer processor board is bad. Thoughts about repairing?

Trash it. It's a great receiver but if you watch EBay, you should be able to get a used one for $400-$450. Actually, the SC07 and the SC35 or SC37 will work also.

Actually insurance bought me a SC-65.
I just thought if I could repair this reasonably I would use it with my amateur radio gear. I do have some electronic skills. It just seems a waste to part this out.
