What are the best choices for a slightly higher than 1.3 gain screens? I'm looking for 96-100" wide in 16x9 to use with a 9500LC, and want a little more light output.

Does anyone make and sell something in a fixed frame mount that thats not too expensive?

Anyone have any favorites...or ones to avoid?

Yes I've searched and read extensively about the perils, I think 1.5-1.6 is a chance I'd easily take.

Thanks

Thanks,

Jeff

Finally went digital: RS20, ISCO IIIs, DIY 10.5' wide torus screen, Stewart StudioTek 1.3 G3 with 4 way masking and adjustable image size

Jeff,
I think "not too expensive" is in the eye of the beholder but I have used a Stewart Videomatte 1.8 gain screen for almost three years and have loved it. There are trade offs including: some minor hot spotting, minor color shifting and visible screen texture at distances of one screen width or less back on some material but these for me don't come close to being important enough to offset the added light I get from the screen. I really believe you will love this screen!
