I had a party last weekend, and a 9 year old left some fingerprints on my lovely 100" Stewart Greyhawk. So I need to clean it. I *think* there are instructions that came with it for cleaning, but I was going to seek advice from the forum members just in case. Are there certain things I should avoid? Are there certain chemicals I should use or avoid? Is there a certain way to scrub it?

As a quick followup, can I get the velux masking stuff after I've already bought the screen, and how much is it? Or is there a decent DIY alternative?

BTW: I did a search on "cleaning greyhawk" on this forum and nothing came back.

Dan,

Fear not! There are instructions included with the screen, I checked my box a few nights ago. I think one recommended cleanser is Simple Green diluted with water. You will need some kind of mild soap (like Simple Green) to get rid of the oil from the fingerprints. Read the instructions, they are much better than my vague recollections! Just be gentle, you should be OK, the screens are pretty tough.

Regards,

Kam Fung
