I have a fixed mount 54x96 stewart studiotek 1.3 screen. I discovered this weekend that the sides are reflecting light back on to the screen and distorting the color of the image. Has anyone else experienced this? And if so, how did you fix it. Does stewart make a kit to solve this problem or is there another material that I can "glue" onto the frame?

Thanks for your thoughts,
Kevin

Dear Kevin,

It sounds like you have a 1.5 square inch shadow box frame with a flat black painted finish. What you are seeing is some light reflection off the inside of the frame. We do have a DIY kit where you can attach some self adhesive veluxe strips to the inside of the frame. This material is a "black hole: and will absorb the stray light. Call our customer service manager, Mr. Scott Kimber, at 1 800 762-4999. Also...please be advised that the factory is closed for the holidays so we can do some deferred mainteance on our equipment and tooling. We will reopen January 2, 2002.

Regards,
Don

Don, thank you very much for your quick response. That's exactly what I have. I was hoping there would be a simple solution. I will call Scott in the new year.

Kind Regards,
Kevin
