I'm planing on buying a Stewart Luxus ScreenWall for my HT. The two models that have about the right dimensions for my room are:

SN 100H (1.78:7) 87 inch wide

and

SN 100W (1.85:1) 89 inch wide

The thing is though that both of these don't have quite the right size. Ideal would be a width of 93 inches and preferably in 1.78:1.

The SN 100H is 1.78:1 but only 87 wide and the SN 100W is better with its 89 width but still not wide enough and due to the 1.85:1 format only 48 inches high which would make a 4:3 frame very small.

The next bigger model is the the SN 110H with a width of 96 inches which I can't put in my room!

On their webpage STEWART states that they make custom-sizes of these screens as well but do they charge extra for this and how much and do these screens take much long till they are delivered?

I am 99% sure that there are no "extra" charges for custom sizes, since Stewart custom builds every screen. The cost of a 93" wide 1.78 format screen will be more than a 90" wide 1.78 format screen, but only because of the extra screen material and additional framing material.

Don Stewart (THE Don Stewart) is a regular contributor to this forum, as are numerous Stewart dealers. Guys, if I'm wrong, please correct me. And Don, Santa apparently forgot to give me the microperf'd 100" wide 1.78 Horizontal ScreenWall ElectriMask I asked for...any help? :)

It is my understanding that Stewart Filmscreen charges by the acre ;)

Seriously, it's a uniform price based on surface area based on my experiences.

Plus in my dealings with them, they have been nothing less than thoroughly professional.

Thanks for all the replies. I have just received the below mail from Stewart:

Thank you for your interest in Stewart Filmscreen. Roland the sizes you see
on our website are what we call common sizes based on popular sizes ordered
in the past. All of our screens are made to order and their is no
different price structure for "custom" sizes.

Thank you,
