Next time someone is in a Home Depot or Loews, check the laminate sample chips. If they carry WilsonArt, look at (you can check online too at WilsonArt.com) and compare the "Designer White" (D354) and the "White" (1570) in matte finish. Is the grey value of the 1570 "grey" enough, or should I be looking at a darker surface for an LT150 projecting in a room with some daytime ambient light

Comments on the 1570 white are welcomed. They can order and ship in large sizes (I am ordering a 5x8' sheet, 61x97 actual size, I believe). They go up to 120" also.

For a larger screen you need a lighter gray.

In fact I got Ice White (hint of gray) 5'x10' Formica from HD. Still building my theater though, so haven't tested it.

But then again I was surprised how dark the Greyhawk is. Pic on the web.
