Hi everyone, I'm looking to invest in a projector and my room has an odd shape stopping me from putting a fix screen to the wall.

Is the quality the same between a fix and a recessed screen?

I'm looking to buy a Pana AE4000 with a 2:35 screen if possible. I'd like to do CHI with the lens memory fonction on the projector. (Light controled environment)

Since my room has an odd shape (don't want to invest in changing the room, it's a new house so I have other stuff to deal with), i'll like to put a recessed screen in it.

Any con's of using a recessed screen?

Thx a lot.

I did a motorized screen years ago -- while it is impressive when it drops down, the novelty wears off... And it is way more expensive and complicated to install as well. The biggest limitation is that if you ever want to change screen fabrics down the road (higher gain, etc.) you are not able to. Take my advice and go fixed frame if even remotely possible.
