Hello everyone...

I'm baffled by an issue I'm having in my new theater room and I'm hoping some of the experts here can lend some insight.

I have a Mitsubishi HC3800 connected through a Denon AVR-891. My main sources are a DirecTV HD receiver and an Apple TV.

I had been projecting the image on to a plain white wall for a few weeks and the picture was great. I just purchased a Carada BW 114" screen and the picture on the new screen is rather soft... almost blurry. I cannot focus it any sharper. I had an old basic Da-Lite screen that I pulled out for comparison, and it exhibited the same soft/blurry picture. Project the image back on the wall, a nice sharp image!

I've searched this forum and other places online and cannot even find a brief mention of a screen reducing the sharpness of an image.

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated!
Bill

I would try moving the projector to the recommended projector throw distance and adjusting your zoom and focus on your projector.

Try using this tool. http://www.projectorcentral.com/proj...calculator.cfm
It will tell you what you need for your distance between your projector and the screen.
