Need help!

Here is what I have currently... 110" Dalite Pull down HP (I think its 2.8 or 2.4 gain) Model C and Epson 6500UB. I have the projector hanging down the ceiling with extensions not quite at eye level but a 12 to 18 inches above my head. My throw is about 16.5' feet.

I want to upgrade to the Epson 6010 because I want better blacks/contrast and maybe, just maybe get into 3D.

I think the High power might be too much so I am thinking about changing my screen.. the question is to what?

I think a white screen with a gain of 1.0 +/- will be fine since I have total light control (light turns off and its complete darkness) My ceilings and walls are dark as well.

So here are my choices:

Elitescreen 110" sable frame - $260.00 on Amazon
Draper Onyx 110" - about $860 shipped
Dalite 110" cinema contour - about 1k shipped
or

pick up Stewart screen 110" firehawk G3 locally for about $1400.00

what would you guys recommend based on the information I have provided? I am tempted to go with Elitescreen simply because of the pricepoint.

thanks!

If the image is too bright with the HP either raise the projector to lower the effective gain or get an ND filter. When the lamp dims you'll then have the option to lower the pj or remove the filter to recover the gain.
