I am in the process of choosing parts for my HT that will be completed around April.

I have a dedicated room which is 20'x12' (no windows).

I was thinking of going with a 110" wide screen (take up a little over 9 feet on the far 12' wall), but that leaves me very little room for speakers. I will likely be doing 3 in-wall UIW RLS II for left-center-right which means I'll want a acoustically transparent screen.

What I'm wondering is, what is the average minimum viewing distance for AT screens these days? I see on Seymour AV's site that their AT screen is 8' minimum distance which would be pretty close to where my first row would be (probably at 10' or so).

Any other recommendations for AT screens? I would likely want to just buy a frame/screen from the same vendor and not DIY..

thanks!

A little more expensive but the Screen Excellence enlightor 4K material is a great choice if you are sitting close. Almost looks like a solid screen.

I had looked at them during my research but they have no pricing online whatsoever. I emailed them to see if they could provide a quote, hopefully they actually check their "contact us" form mail page.

Any other AT screens that can work at 8-10' viewing distance?

Check out umr's screen fabric review.
AT stuff is after the regular, near the end. He forgot to change the heading over the AT chart but it is obvious if you read the names..

Just call them it will be easier. Where are you located? It shouldn't be too hard to find a local dealer. I'm not sure but AVS might carry these.
