Hi everyone. I know that Stewart introduced their new Cima screens about a year ago and I expected them to create a fair bit of buzz and thought it would be easy to find reviews and comparisons of them to other Stewart screens as well as other manufacturers. I'm really surprised that I can't find much discussion about them here on this forum, nor can I find much in the way of reviews of them elsewhere on the web. Does anybody know of any good resources to find discussion of how they measure up? A Neve screen sounds like a good candidate for my application, but I'd like to see more information on whether they are as good as expected from Stewart. Thanks for any info.

I agree there is far too little info on these screens. I was considering buying the tiburon gray screen but couldn't find any info or reviews.

No perf. No custom drop (6 or 12 only) for retractable. No 2.35. Only fixed sizes. Told that the Somfy motor is not as quiet as the Lutron.

Otherwise, seems like a good deal.

The Cima materials add variety to the current line up, the Neve with tad bit more gain than the StudioTek 100 with excellent uniformity and Tiburon which is considerably lighter grey and less gain than Firehawk for wider viewing angle. Lower prices are attained from the set sizes which allows better production yields of the material, and I suspect better turn around time for manufacturing process.

I do have a 110 CIMA screen. Would be happy to give a demo to anybody close enough to Cincinnati. Fits my needs great but I will say this is my first projector set up so I don't really have hands on experience with other screens. The only comparisons I really have is to compare to SI screens I saw at local dealer but it's not apples to apples.

Which material and what kind of environment do you have? Projector model?

If you don't know it's there when you're watching a movie, it's good. smile.gif

I have the Sony hw50and the tiburon screen material. I bought it from AVS :-). You can see pictures through my profile. It is in a light controlled basement but have the lights on in the background often unless I am watching a Blu ray

I really like the new CIMA materials. If the limited sizes work in your theater, it's hard to beat them. I think the Neve material could be an awesome screen material for many home theater applications.
