i have Ultramatte 150 on my 181" (via JVC-X95)

Day scenes look really good, but sometimes the dark is a tad too dark. Iris is fully open with about 300 hours on teh lamp in high lamp mode, probably 30% of those hours are high lamp hours.

The 200 doesn't quite have a good viewing cone for my room, but if they could somehow have a combination of the 150 and the 200, i would be insterested to see numbers on that.

What do you think?

Are you really running a 181" diagonal screen with a JVC? How many foot lamberts are you getting. I'd want a brighter projector I think. eek.gif

Its very watchable, some of the scenes are a bit dark, but its a bat cave.

I don't know how much light I'm getting, too many other things going on.

But you didn't answer my question! wink.gif

I really don't have any complaints, sure it could be a hair brighter and I'd not be on high lamp a lot, but its worth it.

The Silver 5D has a little better viewing angle (30 degree half gain vs 24 of the ultra matte 200) and 2.0 gain, or the Reflections Active 170 has a 1.7 gain and 40 degree half gain angle, your ultra matte 150 is 63 degrees for reference.  They have also done some custom gain configuration but there is no getting around physics with gain screens and viewing angles.

Even with the lens, he could use more brightness. Something like a DP HighLite Cine 1080P-330-3D-HC, would work well on that screen. Like Craig said, I would keep the fabric and plan for a brighter projector.
