Guys I know this has been discussed ad nauseum so let me tell you my scenario.
I needed an LCD PJ after a basement remodel changed my placement and I ended up temporarily with a Panasonic PT-FW100NTU.
Pluses, are at 3000 Lumens bright enough for a true "family" room with lots of light, but at the expense of contrast.
I currently have a gatorboard like solution, and I don't think I can paint it due to warping so I'm curious what my possible options are as I missed out on a brand new 80" ChromaVue for $100 on Craigslist (insert sad face)
1. Consider a GrayWolf or similar pulldown
2. Find someone to spray on a very thin contrast paint mix
3. Buy DynaClear or similar and use my existing screen as a frame for it.
I'm only about 12'7" away but the FW gives me an image of 60-120" w/o issue.
