Hi

I just complete my home cockpit two days ago, i decide to buy a projector and decide it will be a OPTOMA HD25 (i thing it is a good for gaming).

But here is the most important section, ITS A SCREEN WHICH I NEED TO USING IN THE PROJECTION.

Most of screen not work good in lighted rooooooom, and i know the black diamond is the most recommended screen for this region ( i mean well illiuminated room ), but i don't have enough budget to buying BD from screen innovations.

I need a good advice to go rightly without any problem.

Notes :

- My walls painted with non reflectable white.
- Room size is about FIVE METTERS IN THREE METERS.
- There is a big window that transmit enough amount of light,
- I have some light's in my cockpit to see the maps, charts & checklists.

Another question :

Can i use a indoor/outdoor projection screen if it do well in the lighted room ?

This made my head hurt...

I think you have more to explain.

Why are you in a cockpit?
Why can you not get shades for the windows?

Ever been in a movie theater with the lights on? Or seen a movie theater with white walls and ceilings? This is why they are making 90" Flat screens.. "you cannot change the laws of physics" (< read with Mr Scot's accent), at least not inexpensively..

I can't, in good faith, recommend any screen when you have maps, charts and checklists to pay attention to.

Are there any schematics in play with your charts and diagrams? That's the real question.

Honestly - If you have a bright enough PJ you can try a GrayWolf or similar or a FireHawk but they aint cheap. The reality is light control will help you more than any screen

I could be mistaken but that looks like is just for material not a complete screen, if it is a full screen you might have to mask the name on it as it is so big it could be an eye distractor.

Guys help me!!!!!

The projector is OPTOMA HD25E (which has 20000:1 contrast ratio, and 2800 lumens).

What is the best to go, high gain (2.4-2.8) or grey screen material (which is a good in black level) or sliver screen...

Help me

I would go with the dalite high power screen and mount the projector close to your eye level as possible.
