Has anyone compared these two screens or samples directly?
What are your thoughts?

Has anyone compared them to Stewart's Cima Neve, StudioTek 130, EluneVision, or Carada?

I have samples of all of them, and I own both a Stewart StudioTek 130 G3, and a Stewart Cima Neve 1.1 screen. I prefer the Stewart screens personally, but it's a close call. They are all very smooth and texture free screens. I'm particularly impressed with the picture on my new Neve 1.1 screen. Life of Pi looked just stunning.

You can't go wrong with any of them. Call or email me for pricing though. Or to get screen samples yourself.

Craig, have you seen any trace of sparkles on the Da-Lite HD Pro 1.3 material? My 2002-era StudioTek 130 has too many sparkles for my taste, and I've decided to upsize to a 125" 2.35 for the next screen. I'd like to stick with 1.3 gain for 3d, and I'm hoping the HD Pro will offer a smoother image than the old StudioTek does.

I'm still testing screen samples. I'd be curious how new ST 130 G3 screen material compares to your older one. I see very little sheen or texture ( only in the brightest scenes ) on mine, even though I'm watching a fairly bright picture.

Seems like folks have nothing but good things to say about the Stewart Neve screens. Personally, I was leaning toward a Da-lite JKP / HD Pro, but after reading a lot of articles I'm getting close to upgrading to a Neve myself.

As Craig mentioned, AVScience sells the Neve. The price is pretty good on those, it's worth calling AVS. smile.gif
