I have samples of both and the JKP 1.3 seems to be dimmer than the Studiotek 130.
Has anyone else noticed this?
I found it to be very close in brightness to the Cima Neve material. (ie. 1.1-ish)

Is there another 1.3-ish gain screen to consider besides the Studiotek 130?
I really want the highest gain screen possible with the least amount of issues as mine will be mounted in a media room. (yes, I know this is a pipe dream)
The DNP 23-23 was great, but sparklies ruined it for us. (hoping to get something 120"-135" at 13.5')
The Studiotek 130 does show a tiny bit of sparkle, but much less than the DNP and BD.
I would absolutely be happy with the Studiotek 130, but I'm having a hard time swallowing the $1k increase in price over the Cima Neve or JKP 1.3.

I just purchased the JKP 1.3 about a month ago. It's 133" 2.35:1 screen and it's paired with the Sony VPL500. The image is awesome! I really cannot compare it to the other screens mentioned here, but I can report that the 1.3 JKP screen shows no sparklies - at least to my eyes. Image really is crisp.

The JKP 1.3 is significantly brighter than the Studiotek 130. See my earlier post http://www.avsforum.com/t/1499122/screen-sample-shoot-out-jkp-hd-progressive-1-1-and-1-3-studiotek-130-carada-bw#post_23953015

130" JKP 1.3 is on the truck and will be delivered Thursday morning!
It was a tough decision as I thought the Studiotek samples looked brighter, but the sparkles and added cost swayed me towards the JKP.
I also liked the Cima Neve and would have gone with it, but they don't do custom sizes and I decided that 130" was perfect for my throw.
