My current screen is a 100" 16:9 rollup screen which works perfectly fine for me. The problem is that I need to move it into a room where I'd have to mount it to the ceiling which is 9 ft. high.

The max drop I can get with the screen is 17", meaning that the bottom of my screen would be at 37" height (from the floor). I think that it's too high for comfortable viewing (from 11 ft. away), but please correct me if I'm wrong.

Is there any elegant solution without replacing the screen with a higher drop screen (that is very hard to find anyway)?

Thanks a lot for any advice...

According to Draper, the bottom of the screen should typically be:

-24-36" above the floor if you have theatre seating or a flat floor with only one or two rows

-40-48" above the floor if you have a level floor and several rows of seats
