An affordable acoustic transparent screen of good quality. The first few brands I found were many thousands of dollars and kind of scared me off. I have about $1000 budget and not really interested in DIY. Iam now wondering if I should just live with the horizontal center and drop the idea of a third floor stander for a center on my budget?

I did find this one.

Oppo bdp-103, Denon x4200w, Emotiva xpa-5, PSA MT-110 L/C/R/SR, PSA XV15se x2, Monster Hts-3600 MKII, BenQ w1070, 92" reference 4k screen, Blue Jeans cable, Gik 242 acoustic pannels, DIY super chunk bass traps, certainteed home theater tiles.

Many people build a false wall with black AT panels and make their own AT screen with high quality AT Fabric (not sure what manufactures sell just the fabric) This is of course DIY as it is not a pull down screen and requires you to build a wall along with a screen. Unfortunately, an AT screen is not as simple to manufacture as a solid screen. It has to be color neutral, AT without causing major changes in sound, low visibility of the screen texture, good gain (holes in weave or perfs reduce are for light to refect) and then there is the moire distortion with the weave requiring it to be cut on an angle which wasted much fabric..
So if you are not finding what you are looking for at the price point you are looking, it may not exist and if it does, may not excel in all areas.. I.E. requires 14' seating distance or you will see the texture of the fabric..
Sorry this was of little help but AT = more $$ unless you DIY

Has any one tried the bed sheet method and can comment? It certainly seems easy to implement.
