Looking to get a screen and frame kit -

I can get an Elite Sable frame 100" for 4 hundred bucks from Amazon, or 110" Jamestown with XD for 5 hundred.

Is it worth the extra money and 4 weeks wait time for the Jamestown screen?

Thanks,
Matt

Bump for opinions - do you think the 1.0 vs 1.2 gain is legit?

Picked up a Mitsubishi HC7900DW for a nice price, but the 1500 lumens has me nervous.

Got my Jamestown screen, looks good, still need to get the in-wall speakers installed.

From this post: http://www.avsforum.com/t/842769/the-official-seymourav-center-stage-screen-thread/2100_100#post_23693009

Chris from Seymour says the XD is 15% brighter than Elite 1080. Of course, I don't know if that is the 1080P2 - or now they have a P3!

I bet they are fairly close in performance...

However you want to benchmark the ratings, the XD is +15% brighter than their 1080p, and +30% brighter than their A-4K.

The performance of the Elite 1080p and the XD are not fairly close. While no doubt many people are satisfied with the 1080p, we probably replace one of their screens once a week.

Cheers,
Chris
