Wall colour behind A T screen

Gonna mount some speakers in wall behind a seymore acoustically transparent screen. Does the wall colour behind matter? Should it be black?

And I don't mean wall colour around the screen. I mean physically behind it.

This is my first experience with an at screen. Thanks in advance for your help.

Is this fixed frame or electric? The electric come with black backing. The backing is optional with the fixed frame screens. With the backing, you do not have to have a dark wall, but I still think a dark wall is better. If you have everything behind the screen black, then backing is not needed.
