120 or 135 inch fixed screen for Epson 5030UBe + Oppo Blu-Ray

Hello,

I have a room that would comfortably fit a 120 inch and just fit a 135 inch fixed screen (from side to side). Vertically there are no issues with fit. Very good ambient light control in the room. I just got the Epson 5030UBe + Oppo Blu-Ray player (the cheaper one) with Darbee. Currently throwing a very nice image on a beige wall..
(BTW, loving the wireless projector option!)

Cannot decide on size (120 vs 135) and type/brand for the screen. Main concern with 135 (since it is quite close to the side walls would be any washout from light reflection off the side walls). I do want a fixed screen. What are my choices under $1500? Please advise.

Thanks!

My first choice in your case would be the Stewart Cima Neve 1.1 white screen at 123 inches. But that screen would go a little past your budget, so my second choice would be the Carada Classic Cinema White 1.0 at 126 inches. Your projector is plenty bright, so it should do very well with these two screens.

I just went from a 110in 1.78 Carada to a 125in 2.35 Silver Ticket and the screen is about 10in from each wall now. I hung Black Drapes down the walls on each side. It works great. I would get the biggest screen you can fit and do what I did or Black paint on side walls. Also one does not have to spend a fortune on a screen to get a great pic. I was leary of the Silver Ticket being it only cost $350 but it has as good a picture as my $1000 Carada.

I got to look at a elunevision reference screen today. They are very nice. And if I hadn't needed a SI slate 1.2 in 120" I would have bought the reference screen

I got a 136" carada and love it. They are having a nice sale right now also.
