2.35:1 Screens reduces Screen Brightness compared to 16:9?

Is this true that a 2.35:1 Screen will reduce your overall brightness compared to being seen next to a 16:9 screen?

If you are talking equal screen area, same gain and using zoom method, then yes. This is because for the 2.35 image you would have to count the lost area of the black bars that would be projected above and below the 2.35 screen viewing area. If you have more questions regarding doing 2.35, give us a call.
