I just recieved my draper fixed screen. I have been trying to put it together and had no problems with the long sections but trying to put together the sides to the top and bottom has been very difficult. I did not want to have to bang on them to get them in.

Is there a secret to this or a certain way to hold the black plastic piece?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Even when you're connecting the frame together properly, you have to use some serious force to connect these pieces together. In other words, yes you do need to bang on it. But use a wood block or similar to help soften the blows from your hammer.
