Is the Dalite Model B screen a decent match for a NEC 9PGplus Projector. Currently, I am using a DIY screen from curtain blackout and would like to upgrade to either the Matte White or Video Spectra 1.5 screen. www.cousinsvideo.com has some decent price on this screens.
Any comments?
Thanks,
Chris

Chris,

I just got a XG135 and it's similar to yours. I would say go for as much gain as you can get (at least 1.5). I have a 6' x 8' High Power Dai-lite Screen at 2.8 gain--(floor mount only for this screen), and I still have to turn the contrast and brightness past 50% for a decent picture (not recommended as you will get burns). So get the most gain you can get if you want a bigger screen and still minimize burns.

I haven't seen a Model B manual pulldown screen yet that doesn't have waves somewhere on the screen. This will result in shadows and an image that will NOT be up to par for your NEC projector. You have a great projector. Don't invest in a budget screen like the Model B. It's a mistake. Good luck.

I agree with Bill. I had the model B with the Matte White material, and couldn`t get rid of the waves. Very annoying!

Cnris,

I have a 116x65 Hi-Power Model C screen. When the screen is extended there are no wrinkles as far as I could see. There is a tiny bit of a barely discernable wave pattern on the very bottom of the screen in the vertical direction for about 4-5 inches localized in one spot only. It can only be seen from a very acute angle, but that is all. So far I am really happy with this screen. I use it with a floor mounted Marquee 8000 projector.

Good Luck
