I don't want to build my own masking system for an 11 ft. wide, 16:9 screen. Does anyone build a system that allows for both top/bottom AND sides to be adjusted by masks?

Sore Eyes,

I made my own masking system for my 13' wide screen, but it was a project to design/build and currently is manually operated.

I'm sure that someone would be willing to design a custom masking system for larger screen sizes like ours, but it won't be cheap.

Thanks Chuck,

I thought Stewart only made side drop masks.

Stewart does make its 4 way masking system, which I have, which includes adjustable masks top and bottom, and side masks which drop from the top to mask the 16:9 screen to 4:3. However, Stewart can custom make a screen with side panels which mask from side to side adjustably, but at a higher custom cost. You should e-mail or private message forum member Don Stewart about this and he can fill you in.

Thanks Steve, I'll do that.

By the way, what projector do you use and how far back do you sit from a 13 foot screen?

Sore Eyes,

My main seating is 15' away from my 13' screen with some closer seating at 8' away. At this distance the picture is a little soft with VHS, LD, DSS material, but looks great with scaled DVDs and HD movies.
